Basement Lounge

When our clients finish their basements, they usually add a lounge type space. Call it what you like, a media room, a family room, or even a rumpus room, there’s generally always a large screen and a sectional couch. There’s something amazingly cozy about settling down, below ground, underneath blankets, to watch a good movie with loved ones.

This basement lounge area is perfect- sparsely decorated, clean looking, and inviting. But this basement lounge is very adult… what if you’ve got kids? Or what if you’re into gaming? This kind of subdued style might not work for you.

The Total Basement Finishing system is neutral, it’s the beige behind the dark sectional and patterned rug. It can be the perfect blank slate for any lounge area. Homeowners can hang art on the walls and create dimension with clever drapery.

Imagine this same room with a sofa in a bold color like bright red or blue. Imagine contrasting white patterned pillows on the sofa. Imagine cubby style shelves turned into a coffee table. And imagine bean bag chairs directly in front of the couch. This room can go from adult to kid… and rapidly!

Total Basement Finishing is neutral for this purpose, you (or the next homeowner) won’t have to remodel to change the look of your lounge. Contact us today for a free estimate!
