This family was frustrated with the frequent water damage to their basement. To remedy, we first dried out the basement and installed a SaniDry system, then we installed our prefinished wall system, ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring in "Pecan", and created an area for the whole family to enjoy.

This homeowner was tired of how cluttered and crowded their basement space had become and wanted to transform the space into a functional office and closet/storage space. A couple in Waltham, MA were experiencing a mold issue in their basement. Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, remedied the situation by replacing the existing tile flooring and with a beautiful Elite Plank flooring in Espresso.

A kind family in Raymond, New Hampshire, decided to finish their walk-out basement. We added a 3/4 bathroom, bedroom, and man cave into the sizeable space. We used our ElitePlank flooring in Grey, carpeting on the stairs, and the homeowner's bathroom tile selection for flooring. We added new windows into the space and installed our vinyl wall system. We used our 2 X 2 linen ceiling tiles, installing smoke alarms and recessed can lights. There was an existing post to which we added a decorative post surround. Finally, we added electrical baseboard heat to warm their new space.

This family dreamed of adding some extra space in their home to relax and provide storage. Our Total Basement Finishing team provided them with a storage area that has a Zenn wall, subfloor, finished ceiling and florescent lights. This area is now clean and dry and can be closed off to the rest of the living space. In the living area they finished the floor with carpet tiles and built half walls on both sides of the finished stairway. The family is thrilled with the attention to detail, workmanship and patience our team had while working on their project and they cannot wait to enjoy it.

Challenge: A man who works in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has a home in Burlington, Massachusetts. Although he works long hours, in his free time, he likes to use his basement to work out. His basement was previously finished, but it’s damp and cold due to a lack of insulation. The old windows that look out under their deck are older and make it more difficult for the basement to retain heat.   Solution: To make this space into a well-insulated workout space, we started by adding a linen drop ceiling with LED lights. We then added our paintable EverLast paneled wall system and replaced his old windows with our own EverLast windows. We put our Grey Elite Plank flooring on the main area and upgraded carpeting on the stairs and risers. The client then painted their walls and doors. When the project was completed, we gave the client new windows that could be opened to let in the fresh air while he was working out. We also gave him a well-insulated, dry space.

Michael and Susan are a couple from Methuen MA. They lived in a relatively new home, built in 2012. The basement was unfinished, and the couple needed help turning their raggedy, damp, dark basement into a livable area. The pair decided to call Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, to renovate their cellar. Rose and Angel are a couple from Methuen, MA. After the death of Rose’s father, her mother was considering moving into the couple’s basement.
