A family had a house in Hampstead, New Hampshire, that was in need of remodeling. In the basement, they wanted to create a classic, simple family room design. To begin with, we added our insulated EverLast wall panel in vinyl to the exterior-facing walls and our non-insulated panels around the interior. We also added a white colonial-style baseboard to outline the perimeter of the finished area. Next, we installed 4'' LED lights with trim into our 2' X 2' linen ceiling tiles. Finally, we finished off the space with our ThermalDry elite plank flooring in gray to create a classic, sleek basement for their family to enjoy.

Leah, a Wilmington MA homeowner, has an extended family who lives very far away. When her family comes to visit, they end up staying for a month. Leah loves seeing her family, but she doesn't have a good place to host them. Leah wanted to be the perfect host and to give her guests a beautiful and private space in her home. To create the space for her family, Leah decided to finish her basement. Leah is adding a bathroom, a living area and a bedroom to her home! And Leah's guests will be ultra comfortable because their space will be warm, dry and it won't smell like a musty basement. 

A young family has a beautiful home in Belmont, Massachusetts. Before we started working on the space, they had the basement gutted to remove any existing asbestos. The space had an existing bathroom and plumbing, which we did not have to move to complete the project. Ultimately, they decided they wanted the bathroom updated and expanded, a laundry area, storage room, and shelving. We used our paintable wall system around the basement and added linen ceiling tiles. Next, we added decorative post surrounds to the weight-bearing beams in the home. Once that was finished, we installed recessed can lighting and natural oak flooring. Finally, we added shelving to create even more storage. This resulted in a beautiful, cohesive, and functional space.

A couple lives in an old home in Arlington, Massachusetts, with their two adult children. They are planning to have their children around the house this summer and want additional space for entertaining. When they first met with us, they had a partially finished space in need of some updating. They had some minor water damage that affected some of their plaster, but it has since been resolved.   We began the project by adding Everlast wall panels to replace the damaged drywall. We then replaced the baseboard and added our ThermalDry Elite plank flooring. Finally, we replaced the stairs with finished oak treads and painted risers.

Kevin and Karen felt that their walk our basement was doing their home a disservice remaining unfinished. They wanted to add a bedroom, bathroom, and TV room. Basically, the couple wanted the space for an in- law apartment. Even if they never used it as an in-law apartment, they saw the potential benefit of a guest room and the increased property value that comes with the additional living space. With this basement, we had to move some plumbing to make sure that the bathroom was situated properly. We were able to move the plumbing safely, ensuring that the homeowners will not experience any water issues as a result of the work. Kevin and Karen now have a whole new floor to their house!

Having loved ones move into your home is a blessing, but it can also be tricky when you don’t have a lot of extra space. This was the problem facing our clients in Andover, MA. After installing a sump pump and drying out the basement TBF was able to expand the couple’s bathroom to incorporate a separate laundry area.

A couple in Andover, Massachusetts, are creating a playroom in their basement for their young children. We are finishing the basement as one large room with three vinyl walls and one paintable system wall. We added 2X2 foot linen ceiling tiles spanning the entire ceiling, with four new windows. We added new outlets and electrical baseboard heating. We also added a SaniDry XP to keep the space from becoming damp and humid. In a house in Fremont, we added three rooms into an unfinished basement. Each room had 2 X 2-foot linen ceiling tiles, boxing out ducts around existing pipes, and a white EverLast wall system. We added a SaniDry air system to reduce humidity in the rooms. We added electric baseboard heat, 6-panel primed doors, and white trim around the room. In the room we made into an office and the other that became a playroom, we added decorative surrounds around the existing posts. Finally, we added our ElitePlank flooring. This resulted in a clean, warm, well-lit space in the newly finished basement.
