A couple in Danville, New Hampshire, have owned their home there for five years. In this time, they have considered whether or not finishing their basement would be a worthwhile decision. This is how they decided to fill out a form and got in contact with one of our basement finishing specialists. The basement didn't have heat and only had one existing electrical outlet, which would make a full basement finish the ideal scope of their project to fit their needs. After we spoke with them, they also met with our affiliate company, Blackdog Design/Build/Remodel. After receiving both project quotes, they decided to prioritize the work on the first floor of their home before the basement. For this reason, we have decided on a date in the future to reach back out to discuss moving forward. 

Krista and Matt are a young couple that live in Plaistow NH. Having two daughters and a busy work schedule, they needed more space for their family to grow. The couple called Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, to help create the basement of their dreams. TBF was able to transform their basement into a playroom for their children and utilized some of the new space for Matt’s sports memorabilia.

A couple in Medford, Massachusetts, have lived in their beautiful home for five years now. After handling some waterproofing and foundation issues, they are ready to go forward with a basement finishing project. This will include a large office and gym, a utility area, and all-new stairs. We used our paintable EverLast insulated wall system around the perimeter, with our non-insulated panels separating the two spaces. We added new doors with antique brass doorknobs and a strap ceiling. We used recessed LED lighting throughout and base electrical. Finally, we rebuilt the existing stairs for comfort and safety.  

A couple in Reading, MA, had a relative who finished her basement with us and loved the finished product as well as our system. Based on this, although their basement is already finished, they decided to update their space with our products. We began by refinishing their ceiling with our linen ceiling tiles. We then added baseboard electrical heating, recessed LED lights, and two new windows. We replaced their flooring with our grey ThermalDry Elite Plank flooring and laid grout and tiling in their bathroom. This resulted in a beautiful space that reflected the homeowner's style.

Ed W. called us asking about a new basement. He wanted a larger TV space where his two college age kids could hang out. With a TV space downstairs it would be much easier to keep the living room upstairs clean and ready for guests! Total Basement Finishing went in and removed a lally column to give them one open room of about 400 square feet. They were very pleased with the quality of work!

A family in North Andover wanted to expand their living space, so rather than building out or up they elected to replace their dated, semi-finished basement with our Total Basement Finishing system and transform the space into a workshop and family room the whole family could enjoy!   We took their dated 1970s dark wood-panelled and floral-wallpapered basement and turned it into the perfect space for the home hobbyist and playroom/family room for the kids!

The clients are a nice couple living in Andover, Massachusetts, with three children. They’re a professional couple and are very decisive when it comes to making decisions about their basement. They’d like a room to be used for recreation and a small laundry room. First, we added our vinyl wall system in beige and a drop ceiling in white. We also added our ElitePlank flooring in the color light pecan, with electrical baseboard heat below. The lights were our standard recessed LED lights. The finished result was a simple and elegant designated laundry room and recreational area.
