His and Hers Basement Finishing
A couple in Townsend, Massachusetts, is looking to have two spaces created, one for the husband and one for the wife. The wife's section of the basement will contain an office space that will double as an entertainment area. The husband's space will be used as a music room. In the wife's space, we installed four electrical boxes on the wall, LED lights for entertaining, and espresso ElitePlank flooring. In the husband's section, we installed carpet stair treads, an additional thermostat to account for the large windows, and gray ElitePlank flooring. This resulted in a unique his and hers basement that suits each of their styles and personalities.
Closing On a Gorgeous Basement
A couple recently closed on a new house, and the first project they'd like to tackle is finishing their basement. They turned it into three rooms: a utility room for their washer and dryer, an office, and a game room. We began by installing our vinyl wall system in white. We then added our linen ceiling tiles, base electrical, and recessed can lighting. We also put up a half wall to separate the utility room from the rest of the space and added MillCreek natural oak flooring. This was used in the office and game room, leaving the utility room floor in the original cement.
Interest in EverLast
A man living in Townsend, Massachusetts, wants to finish his basement. He found us through an online search and decided to set up an appointment because of his interest in our EverLast vinyl wall system. Our vinyl wall system is a very popular option, especially in basements that have experienced dampness in the past. This is because the panels can be removed individually and provide easy access to wiring. At this time, finishing his basement is something he wants to be quoted but is not ready to complete.
A Simple Basement Bathroom Project
A mother and daughter have a beautiful home in Mont Vernon, New Hampshire. They are looking to add a second basement to their home and would like to use their unfinished basement. As they have the space, they'd also like to take the opportunity to add a finished room.  We kept the space simple, adding a wall to separate the story space from the room. We added our linen ceiling tiles across the entire basement, new lighting, a simple and elegant bathroom, and two new interior doors. This provided them with a second bathroom for the house and a clean, dry new space that they can use in any way they want.
A Family Home in New Boston
A couple in New Boston are very close with their daughter and granddaughter and plan to move them into their basement. They have a partially finished basement, which they are having refinished for their family. The project is straightforward, and they are having their heat installed independently. After that’s been set up, we are going to install our white vinyl wall system along the perimeter of the rooms. We are going to replace the current plywood stairs with oak stair treads and white-painted risers. We’ll finish the stairs by adding in a railing and balusters on the right side. The flooring will be our ElitePlank flooring in Pecan. This will create a beautiful, comfortable, and warm space for them to share their home with more of their family.
Transforming a Garage in New Boston
A homeowner contacted us to discuss transforming their two-car garage into a basement space. The last homeowner had put up a wallboard, which would have to be removed before we could begin. In place of this, they wanted to finish off the entryway into one large room. Although the connected space already has heating and AC, they needed us to make a plan to continue this into the new space. They needed additional lighting installed as well.
Revisiting a Project in New Boston
A family in New Boston, New Hampshire, wanted a quote for one large open family room. When they first contacted us, they had just moved into their home just over a year ago and wanted to look into increasing their space by finishing their basement. This is a popular choice for homeowners, as their unfinished basements are a bit of an untapped resource. When we went to see the project, we discussed there being a section of the space that likely needed to be sealed before we could start working. As the homeowner was about to experience only the second winter in the space, he opted to wait and see if the section required sealing at all.  In cases like these, or when the basement requires waterproofing, we will usually refer the homeowners to local sealing or waterproofing companies. At this point, we wait until the process is complete and then schedule with them once again to get them on the calendar to begin their finishing project.
A Workout Space in Brookline
A couple have lived in their Brookline, New Hampshire home for six years. Now that their children are getting older, they want their own space to spend time in, and the parents want a nice space to work out in around work hours. They have an unfinished basement and would like to finish it in two sections. Half will be a family room, with the other being a workout space. The hot water heater was located beneath the stairs, which we finished with a short access door. We then added in an EverLast perimeter wall system, metal studs, and linen ceiling tiles. We put recessed LED lights in the ceiling and installed two EverLast windows to brighten up the space. This resulted in a clean and dry space for exercise and entertainment.
A Children's Play Place
A family in Milford is looking to make a space for their kids to spend time and play. They have a partially finished basement that they'd like to have made into a game room. We started the project by using our vinyl wall system in white around the perimeter. Afterward, we added linen ceiling tiles with recessed can lighting throughout. We had to tear out certain existing walls that weren't up to code and install baseboard heat. This created a warm, dry basement their children could use as a game room for years to come.
An Affiliate Project
A homeowner was looking into a project with our affiliate company, Blackdog Builders. While designing her project, she also wanted to get a quote for having her basement finished. She booked an appointment with one of our basement finishing specialists, who evaluated the partially finished space. Half of the basement had been finished previously, so we looked into having the other half finished with a bedroom and a 3/4th bathroom for her daughter. As of now, the space is being used as storage. After providing her with a quote, she decided to focus on her primary project of remodeling the main floors.
