These homeowners have lived in their home in Bedford NH for over twenty years. When they started experiencing water damage and minor flooding in their basement, they decided it was time to act and fix the problem. The happy couple called Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, to determine what the issue was, prevent it in the future, and ensure their basement was finished into a livable space. TBF installed beautiful Gray Elite Plank flooring, a linen ceiling, and Vinyl walls.

A couple lives in a beautiful home in Bedford, New Hampshire, with three children. Their basement has already been finished, but is very outdated and needs a refresh. This will include three main areas: the bath, family room, and linen closet. To begin, we had to rip out some of the existing features. After this, we can add our linen ceiling tiles and rock wool ceiling insulation. This will help to keep the space warm all year. Next, we will replace the exhaust fan in their bathroom, adding recessed LED lights and new outlets. Finally, we will place our Elite Plank flooring in grey throughout the space. This will result in a warm, dry space that will give the entire family more room.

This was an expensive project for a family in Boxborough, Massachusetts, due to the detail of the spaces we added in the large basement. The project included two living areas, a sizeable closet, a 3/4 bathroom, an office, and a portion left unfinished to be used for storage. The larger living space included an exterior door and a lot of natural light. The bathroom included Kohler products and a Foremost espresso vanity and countertop. The resulting space was beautiful and sizeable, with a lot of potential for entertaining, work, and daily use. 

A homeowner in Boxborough contacted us after seeing one of our ads online. This brought her to our website, where she saw some of the photos of finished spaces from our gallery. She liked our system and wanted to add space to her home by finishing her basement. She wasn't looking for anything extravagant, just a nice, clean space that would last. We met with her, discussed her space, and gave her a quote for a simple finish. This gave her a good idea of what the project may cost, and while she would still like to have the basement finished in the future, this is not the best time for the investment. In the future, we may move forward with the project to give her the additional living space she is looking for.

COVID-19 presented unique challenges related to basement finishing. Although we had safety measures in place, a lot of jobs scheduled around 2020 were moved to a future date. This particular job was for a 550 sq foot basement, which the homeowner wanted to turn into a play and family area. The basement already had heating, making it a quick and easy job. Although this project was set to move forward at the beginning of the year, after careful consideration, they decided not to proceed when the news of the pandemic came out. Although the pandemic initially led to a lot of challenges in the industry, it also made us more adaptable to adding safety precautions for preventing the spread of illness. This is still relevant in the way that we work on projects today. Health safety is something we take very seriously, and that we take into account when planning a project, especially in a home with anyone who, for any reason, has added concerns about health and safety.

Thomas and Venessa are a nice couple with two boys. The family lives in a beautiful home in Nashua NH. Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, turned the families unfinished basement into a gorgeous play area for their children.  

This is a recent basement finishing project we completed in Littleton, MA that features a stunning home bar, theater and seating area, recreational area, and bathroom. When wanting to expand your living space, why build up or out when you can make your basement look like this? The homeowners wanted to create a space for entertaining friends and family: a home theater, bar and guest bathroom were a must. The space features our pre-finished wall system, elite plank flooring, Candlelight Cabinetry cabinets, and Top Line Granite countertops.

Ryan F. found our Total Basement Finishing website with the hopes of remodeling his basement. He called shortly after visiting our website and we set up an appointment for John to go out and look at the space. Ryan said that they had lived in the house for seven years, but their basement was completely unfinished. Their kids were getting old enough where they needed a place to play, but things in Ryan's house were a little bit cramped. They had tried to make due for a long time with this unfinished basement. They put down matting, "brightened" up the cement walls with posters, even put a couch down there, but in the end it still looked pretty dark and dismal- not really a place a kid would want to play in. This project called for a total basement remodel. TBF finished the basement by installing Everlast Wall Panels (which are totally water and moisture-proof) and divided the large original space into two seperate rooms: a spare bedroom, and a game room for the kids. In the game room they also installed an Egress window to let in some natural light. The flooring used was a parquet tiling throughout the space. The finished space was beautiful and dry with lots of natural lighting and it will provide a space for the kids for years to come!  

A Litchfield family was looking for a little more space for their kids. They wanted to add a playroom and guest bedroom to their basement, but they were worried about the damp conditions. A family friend had recently finished their basement, and lost their entire investment when the space flooded. Since Total Basement Finishing is made for damp humid environments, this Litchfield family was able to add more space, without worrying about costly water damage.

Bernard and Claudia are a charming couple from Maynard MA that live with their son. The family has lived in their home for the past four years and wanted to create a beautiful basement space for them to enjoy. They called Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, to help create a basement of their dreams. TBF installed a vinyl system with a drop ceiling and added Elite Plank flooring in pecan. Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate added carpet to the stairs leading down to the basement. To round out the project, a closet under the stairs was added for additional storage.
