Amanda is a woman living in Stratham NH with her 13-year-old daughter. Though she did most of the work herself, she still needed help remodeling and enhancing her basement. Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, was able to recreate her old, ragged basement into a workout area. TBF was also able to help with new walls and even added a beautiful gas fireplace to heat up her new space.

Angela and Phillip are a couple from Salem Massachusetts. The family has two children and wanted to add a study space to their unfinished basement. Additionally, as the family spends much of their time at home, they decided it was time to create more space for everyone. The couple called Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, to help them out. TBF was able to turn their basement into a beautiful media room and office space and a place for their peloton bicycle in front of the window.

For a job in Swampscott, Massachusetts, we created a play area in a previously unfinished basement. The house was older, with uneven stone in the basement. We added a new ceiling with our drop ceiling beige panel system and put in new flooring. We also added storage space and finished her stairs leading down to the basement. She wanted the bulkhead leading down to the basement to be weather-proofed, which she had done with another company. Once that was finished, we were able to add in six-panel primed doors, and EverLast insulated walls around the perimeter as well as the stairs. Finally, to finish the space, we installed two new slider windows.

Bridgett, a Newburyport homeowner, wanted to refinish her basement by adding a guest room, office, bathroom, and place for storage. One thing Bridgett asked us to keep in mind... she was pregnant! She wanted to make sure work was completed by the time baby was born. We were happy to accommodate Bridgett's schedule, but her baby was a few weeks early! Bridgett called us, letting us know, and we made sure we were done with everything before she got back from the hospital. Though we know many parents who've done it, construction with a newborn is never fun! We were so happy for Bridgett and her new baby, and thrilled that we could get everything done before they got home. Now Bridgett has a newly refinished basement guest room, so all her friends and family can stay and visit her baby!

Chris and Jenny live in a single-family home with their 10-year-old son in Newburyport MA. The homeowners both work from home and their son is home schooled. Their basement was already partially finished, but they wanted to create an additional area where their child could study. The couple called Total Basement Finishing, a Blackdog Affiliate, to assist in creating more room.

Challenge: A couple living in Methuen, Massachusetts, has owned a cottage at the beach for many years. Over a year ago, they made the decision to sell their Methuen home and move into their Seabrook cottage. The cottage, however, needs some significant renovations. They have spent the last year and a half decorating and refurnishing the space, but now they want to finish their basement as well to give their grandchildren a place to play and watch TV with them. The current space is completely unfinished and will need a lot of work.   Solution:  We installed our linen ceiling tiles, a Pecan Elite Plank floor, and our most popular vinyl everlast perimeter walls. We applied panels to the surrounding walls for the stairwell leading down to the basement and capped the stairwells with PVC caps. Next, we added baseboard heating and a SaniDry system to keep the space warm, dry, and comfortable. We added decorative post surrounds to make the posts match the rest of the finished space. This created a cohesive basement where the homeowners’ grandchildren could play, which they are very excited to begin using.

A couple owns a few properties around New England and are currently having their basement finished in their Greenland, New Hampshire home. It was an 800-square-foot space, and they used our EverLast paintable wall system in white around the perimeter. They added charcoal carpeted flooring, decorative post surrounds on the lally columns and linen ceiling tiles. We added recessed can lights and all new outlets, switches, and jacks. 

A man wanted two rooms finished in his basement in Greenland, New Hampshire. He was very handy and started construction himself years ago. However, he began this using traditional drywall construction. When we met with him, we discussed that we don't use drywall in our construction process. This is because we warranty all of our work and want to use products we're confident in. When drywall becomes wet, it absorbs water and can be completely ruined. The materials we use are inorganic and don't grow mold or mildew. Because of this difference, we ultimately didn't work together, and the homeowner chose to finish the basement himself.

A family just bought a home in Greenland and is looking to get an estimate to finish their walk-out basement. The basement is nearly 1400 square feet, making it a larder job. When speaking with any homeowner, it's important to explain the quality of our basement finishing system over the traditional drywall finish. While they recognized that ours was a longer-lasting basement finishing product, they decided to finish the space themselves using studs and drywall.

A man in Wenham has a basement he is looking to finish for his children to use. His children are growing up, and he would like this to become a space for them to spend time. He liked our system and wanted to create a single open room with a basic design. His basement is 800 square feet, and finishing it should not be particularly complicated. However, he has decided at this time to wait to finish his space until he has more time to flush out the details, and for this reason, we have not moved forward with the project.
